Any State Farm employee who volunteered more than 40 hours with the NCWHS band is eligible to apply for a Good Neighbor Grant through the State Farm Companies Foundation.  Through the Good Neighbor Grant Program, the State Farm Companies Foundation awards a $500 grant on behalf of each eligible State Farm associate (active employee, agent, or retiree) who volunteers a minimum of 40 hours a year to an eligible nonprofit organization or school.  

Importantly, applications for 2009 volunteer hours will only be accepted until March 31, 2010.  They can be submitted at any time from now up until that date.  (The sooner, the better.)  Please list "McLean County Unit District No. 5" as the organization and "Normal West High School Bands" as the purpose.  (Note:  we intentionally omit "Community" from our name to avoid confusion with NCHS.)  The bottom section of the form needs to be completed and signed by an “authorized official” of the organization.  Linda Bawulski, the administrative assistant to the principal, is authorized to complete this section.  She maintains daily office hours in the Normal West Main Office.
